Locally Owned Roofing Company Serving

Wilmington & Southeastern NC

Your roof protects everything underneath it, so the company you hire to work on it matters. Twin Anchors Roofing is a locally owned roofing company based in Wilmington, built by two local families who believe a roof should be done right the first time. We help homeowners across New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, and Onslow counties with roof replacement, roof repair, and storm damage, and we document every step so you can see the quality of the work for yourself.

Fully Insured, Licensed North Carolina Contractor: License #L.104699

Residential Roofing Services

Our residential roofing services cover everything from a single leak to a complete new roof. We always start by understanding what is actually going on before recommending a solution.

Roof Replacement

Full roof replacements are the core of what we do, and most of our projects are asphalt shingle roofs. We do not just put new shingles on a house and leave. We make sure the entire roofing system is installed correctly, because the small details are usually what cause problems later. Learn more about our roof replacement and installation process.

Roof Repair and Leak Repair

Leaks, damaged shingles, and worn flashing can lead to bigger problems if they are ignored. Our roof repair service starts with finding the real source of the issue, not just patching what is visible. If a repair will solve the problem, we will tell you. If your roof needs more than another temporary patch, we will explain why.

Storm Damage

Hurricanes, tropical storms, and high winds are part of life on the North Carolina coast. After severe weather, we inspect your roof, photograph any storm damage we find, and recommend the right next step so small problems do not turn into major ones.

Metal Roofing and Gutters

For homeowners interested in a different look or material, we also offer metal roofing. We install new gutters as well, helping move water away from your roof and your home.

How Our Roofing Experts Take the Guesswork Out of Your Project

Most homeowners have two big questions when they need roof work: “Am I paying a fair price?” and “Are these people actually going to do good work?” Our process is built to answer both. Every project follows the same steps:

  1. We inspect the property. Our roofing professionals take a close look at your roof to understand its condition and what is causing any problems.
  2. We document what we find. We take plenty of photos and videos so you can see what we see, even if you never set foot on a ladder.
  3. We explain your options. We walk you through what we recommend and why, give you clear choices, and make sure you understand exactly what you are paying for.
  4. We keep one team on your project. Photos, expectations, and job details move from our sales team to our production team, and our project manager stays involved through installation. You will not get lost between departments after the contract is signed.
  5. We document the installation. When the work is done, you have photo and video proof that your roof was installed correctly.

Why Homeowners Choose Twin Anchors Over Other Local Roofers

If you are looking for the lowest bid in town, we may not be the right fit. If you want your roof done right, by people who care how it is installed and who is standing behind it, here is what sets us apart from other local roofers:

  • Owners who are involved. Dustin and Jeremy are licensed general contractors who stay close to the work, not owners sitting behind a desk.
  • Attention to detail. We obsess over the small things on purpose, because those details decide how well your roof holds up over time.
  • Quality materials and a strong warranty. We use quality materials and back our work with a warranty that reflects our confidence in it.
  • Clear communication. You get updates throughout the job and documentation you can keep.
  • Real roots in the community. As we grow, we want to give back to the communities that helped us grow. One project we are proudest of is a roof our team replaced at no cost for a local homeowner who needed it around Christmas.

Roofing Contractors Who Are on the Job, Not Behind a Desk

Twin Anchors Roofing was founded by Dustin Melvin and Jeremy Letchworth. Before starting the company, both worked for other roofing companies, where they saw what the industry does well and where it falls short. Eventually, they asked each other a simple question: why not build the kind of company we would want to work for, and the kind we would want working on our own homes?

From the start, they wanted to do more than sell roofs. Both owners earned their North Carolina general contractor licenses because they wanted to understand exactly what they were building and make sure it was being done correctly.

When you hire Twin Anchors, you are working with roofing contractors who stand behind their work. If a problem comes up on a job, we do not point fingers or hide behind someone else. We deal with it. Homeowners appreciate knowing there are real owners behind the company who care about the finished product.

Across the river in Brunswick County, we serve Leland and Oak Island.

To the north, our roofers help homeowners in Hampstead and Surf City in Pender County, and our service area continues into Onslow County, including Jacksonville, Holly Ridge, and the Onslow County side of Surf City. REAL STORIES FROM FAMILIES WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN TWIN ANCHORS ROOFING

On July 31st, 2025 my 85 year old father called me to tell me that a roofer (Adam Hampton with "Twin Anchors Roofing") just stopped at his house to let him know that the ridge vent on the his roof was no longer secured to the roof and was flopping around (rain was immanent). This could allow rain to enter the opening and cause serious water damage. Since the roof had recently been replaced I instructed my father to call the company that installed the roof since I live two hours away and couldn't help my elderly parents. While waiting for the original company to call my father back, the sky was getting dark and it was obvious the roof ridge needed to be repaired immediately. As I was on the phone with my Dad, Adam returned to my Dad's house and said he could get the roof closed up immediately. So, we decided to let Adam do the repair and we'd deal with the other company later for a refund. So, Adam and a helper got on the roof, made the needed repair and got back down just before the ski opened up. When my Dad asked how much he owed, Adam told him there was no charge and that he just wanted to help out. Well, we then learned that the other roofing company had recently gone out of business. Adam truly went above and beyond to help a senior in need and we are very grateful! Needless to say, TWIN ANCHORS ROOFING is now the only company we will call in the future!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Roofers

What areas does Twin Anchors Roofing serve?

Twin Anchors Roofing serves homeowners in New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, and Onslow counties in Southeastern North Carolina. That includes Wilmington, Carolina Beach, Leland, Oak Island, Hampstead, Surf City, Jacksonville, Holly Ridge, and the surrounding communities.

Is Twin Anchors Roofing licensed and insured?

Yes. Twin Anchors Roofing is a fully insured, licensed North Carolina contractor, License #L.104699. Both owners hold North Carolina general contractor licenses, and homeowners can verify our license through the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors.

How do I know if I need a roof repair or a full roof replacement?

The only reliable way to know is a thorough roof inspection. Isolated problems on a roof in otherwise good condition, like a single leak or a few damaged shingles, can often be repaired. Widespread wear, repeated leaks, or a roof nearing the end of its lifespan usually point to replacement. We document what we find with photos and give you an honest recommendation, including when a repair is the smarter choice.

What roofing materials do you install?

Most of our projects are asphalt shingle roof replacements, and we also install metal roofing. During your inspection, we explain the options that make sense for your home and your goals so you can choose with confidence.

How do I know my new roof was installed correctly?

You can see it for yourself. We take photos and videos throughout the installation and share that documentation with you, so you do not have to take our word for it. Our project manager also stays involved from the first day of work through the final walkthrough.

Do you help with storm damage after hurricanes and severe weather?

Yes. Coastal North Carolina sees hurricanes, tropical storms, and high winds, and all of them can damage a roof in ways that are hard to spot from the ground. We inspect your roof after a storm, document any damage with detailed photos, and recommend the right repair or replacement.

Why choose a locally owned roofing company?

A locally owned roofing company is accountable to the community it works in. Twin Anchors is owned by two local families, and the owners are directly involved in the business. If an issue comes up, you are dealing with people who live here, know the coastal climate, and care about the finished product.

How do I get started with a roof inspection or estimate?

Getting started is simple: schedule your roof inspection through our online booking tool. We will inspect your roof, document what we find, walk you through your options, and make sure you understand exactly what you would be paying for before any work begins.
